The Community Events Calendar is to publicize any event located in Andover sponsored by the Town, by a non-profit, or by a for-profit organization running a charitable fundraiser, where the general public is invited to attend. The Elder Services Calendar shows the dates and times of programs and events at the Senior Center at Punchard additional information about these programs may be found here.   1. 2018 AVIS Annual Meeting – Changes to the Shawsheen River

    April 5, 2018, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Andover Town House

    The Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS) invites all to the 2018 AVIS Annual Meeting and Dinner, on Thursday, April 5, 2018. The event was rescheduled due to an earlier snow storm. The dinner portion of the event is close to being sold out. Those interested in attending the dinner should contact Jude Livermore at (978) 475-4521 to see if tickets are still available. Dr. Jon Honea, Assistant Professor at the Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies at Emerson College and a Conservation Commissioner for the Town of Andover, will speak at this year's meeting. Dr. Honea's research focuses on the influence of environmental change, including restoration and climate change, on species, populations, and communities of organisms. Dr. Honea will speak about his work with the Shawsheen Greenway, which is promoting restoration of the Shawsheen River.     Lawrence City Councilor, Marc Laplante, will lead a book discussion of Richard Rubin's book, Back Over There, and share his own fascinating journey researching WWI veterans from his city.
