  1. Walking Through Grief and Healing- Walking Group

August 15, 2018, All Day @ Haggetts Pond in Andover, MA located off of Lowell Street (Route 133)

Walking Through Grief and Healing is a bereavement support group for those who’ve lost a loved one and would benefit from a supportive instrumental grief program. As humans we experience grief in many different ways. Instrumental grief is a form of grieving that can occupy our thoughts more so than our emotions. Many people experiencing grief can benefit from an experiential way of processing loss through action and reflection versus discussion or traditional talk therapy. This walking group is designed to give grieving family and friends the opportunity to spend time in nature for a little mindfulness and physical activity. Each session will start with a brief reading and Beacon Hospice bereavement coordinator(s) will be available to check in throughout.

    August 15, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ MHL - The Hall

Join other adults for Andover's eleventh Death Cafe - an evening of open, lively, and insightful discussion about death. Come with an open mind, a healthy curiosity, and a willingness to share your thoughts, feelings, and questions with other like-minded individuals. Hosted by Andover resident, Richard Davis. Seating is limited - please pre-register online. Contact Stefani Traina at straina@mhl.org or 978-623-8451 for further information and/or visit www.deathcafe.com. Sponsored by the Friends of MHL. Refreshments at 6:30pm. Program starts at 7:00pm.
