The patriotic song America was written in 1831 by Samuel Francis Smith while attending the Andover Theological Seminary. Andover is often referred to as the "Home of America".

Open Meeting Law Notices are accessible to the public in the Town Clerk's Office, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover, MA during normal business hours. In the event the Town web site is not available for posting Open Meeting Law Notices due to power outages, storm damage or for any other reason, Meeting Notices will be posted on or adjacent to the handicapped accessible entrance on the first floor of the Town Office Building.
