Selectmen and Town Manager
The Town of Andover elects a five member Board of Selectmen to staggered three-year terms. The Board generally meets twice a month on a Monday evening. Paul J. Salafia, Chairman: psalafia@andoverma.govPaul was elected to the Andover Board of Selectmen in March of 2011. His current term ends in March of 2013. Paul served on the Andover Planning Board for 17 years and has also served as Andover’s Commissioner to the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, the Andover Council on Aging, the Town Yard Task Force, member of the Andover Rotary Club, Andover Historical Society, Service Club of Andover, Lawrence Boys and Girls Club Director, Northeastern University Advisory Board as well as the Lanam Club board of directors. Paul is a father of 2 boys, a grandfather of 5 and resides with his wife Margaret on the former Walnuthurst Dairy Farm on South Main St., in Andover. Mr. Salafia's current Selectmen term ends in March 2013. |

Alexander J. Vispoli, Vice Chairman: avispoli@andoverma.govAlex is a member of the Massachusetts Selectmen's Association (MSA) Executive Committee and is the current MSA representative for Essex and Middlesex Counties. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) Board of Directors and a member of the Governor's Local Government Advisory Commission. Mr. Vispoli's current Selectmen term ends in March 2013. |

Brian Major: bmajor@andoverma.govBrian was first elected to the Board of Selectmen in March of 1997. He and his wife Margaret have four children in the public schools: Rachel, Danielle, Brendan and Nicole. Brian is a Master Black Belt / Program Manager for Philips Healthcare headquartered here in Andover, Massachusetts. He has a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering, an MBA and Masters certifications in Project Management, Six Sigma, Facilitation and Lean Manufacturing. He was a charter member of the Andover Youth Council from 1994-1997. Additionally he coaches the Andover Youth Wrestling program and is the Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 76. Brian’s current Selectman term ends in March 2015. |

Mary K. Lyman: mlyman@andoverma.govMary K. Lyman was appointed to the Board of Selectmen on October 22, 2001 (to fill a mid-term vacancy), and was subsequently elected in March, 2002. She and her husband James live at 50 School Street with their three sons ages 16, 19 and 21. She holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. She works in Development for Family Service, Inc. of Lawrence, MA. Prior to her appointment, Mary served as the Town's Human Resource Director from 1985-1990 and on the School Committee from 1992-1995. Her term ends in March 2014. |

Town Manager Reginald S. Stapczynski: manager@andoverma.govReginald "Buzz" Stapczynski was appointed Andovers Town Manager in 1990. He has a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Prior to coming to Andover Buzz was the Town Manager in Wilmington, Massachusetts for 9 ½ years. He also served as Wilmington's Assistant Town Manager for several years. Buzz resides in Andover with his wife Sandy and his two sons. |

Assistant Town Manager Steven S. Bucuzzo: sbucuzzo@andoverma.govSteve Bucuzzo was appointed Andover's Assistant Town Manager in June, 2001. He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Prior to coming to Andover Steve served as Town Administrator for Rockport, MA; as Budget & Management Assistant for Wellesley, MA; and as a Non Commissioned Officer in the United States Army Airborne Infantry. Steve lives in Haverhill with his wife Lynette and son Patrick. |
