2008 Citizens Survey Results

The results are in!

The Town received a total of 672 responses from the 1,200 Andover households that were randomly selected to participate in the 2008 Andover Citizens Survey. This represents an extraordinary 56% response rate! Thank you to all the Andover residents who responded to the survey. The folks from Merrimack College presented the preliminary results of the survey on November 19th at the Memorial Hall Library. The results presentation is listed below, along with the results of the two open-ended questions. A web-cast of the presentation is also available below. The various ratings represent a statistically accurate representation of how the entire community would have voted (with a variation of +/- 5%). Further analysis of the results is being done, and will be included in the final report due by the end of December. The Town will be using the results of the 2008 Andover Citizens Survey for various purposes, such as: measuring municipal service performance and citizen satisfaction; identifying community-wide issues and problems; strategic planning and goal-setting; improving programs and services; setting budgetary priorities; and enhancing communications.
