What is a Walk Audit?
A walk audit is an activity where participants evaluate a location on how friendly it is for people walking to travel along a street, cross an intersection, or just get from one point to another. During the walk audit, participants will go for a walk together, making note of what makes the street comfortable for walking and what is needed to make walking better. The results of the walk audits help to inform future improvements that will make the street safer, more comfortable and accessible for all members of the community regardless of age, ability or mode of transportation.
