Bach's “St Matthew’s Passion” Piano Concert to be performed at Free Christian Church- Andover

As Easter approaches, Free Christian Church is excited to present a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion on April 1st at 7pm. The concert will feature musicians Fernando Castro, Yerim Krueger, and Diane Lim, and will take place at Free Christian Church, located at 31 Elm St in Andover, Ma. This event is free and open to the public. Composed in 1727, Bach’s “St Matthew’s Passion” recounts the story of Christ's Passion as told in the Gospel of Matthew and is widely acclaimed as one of the masterworks of Baroque sacred music. The Latin title of this composition, Passio Domini nostri J.C. secundum Evangelistam Matthæum, translates to "The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the Gospel of Matthew." We hope that this performance will be a source of inspiration and reflection for all who attend!
