[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Quinn Status Update

Storm Quinn status update:

As we prepare for Andover’s 3rd Nor’Easter in 2 weeks, we are continuing to repair damage and clear debris from Storm Quinn.  Virtually all roadways in town have been impacted by the major nor'easter.

We advise residents to drive slowly and cautiously for the foreseeable future and watch for:

- Repair crews working in roadways to repair wires and clear debris
- Low hanging wires
- Trees and other debris in the roadway
- Narrow roadways effected by our cleanup efforts
- Children and others walking in roadways due to wires and debris in sidewalks

Please be patient with us- our crews are working long hours to restore some type of normalcy, and it will take many weeks to complete the cleanup efforts.

Thank you for your understanding and please don't hesitate to call the Andover Police or Andover DPW if you have any questions or need additional information.

The forecast for tomorrow’s storm is for over 8 inches of snow, with areas getting up to 14 inches.  We will be treating and plowing the roads, parking lots, and sidewalks at the conclusion of the storm.  Trash and recycling collection has been postponed in anticipation of Tuesday’s storm.  Please refrain from putting tree brush and trash/recycling in the sidewalk areas.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Christopher Cronin
Director of Municipal Services
