Planning Board – Appointed by the Town Manager – One Vacancy
The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing certain proposed development projects in Andover and makes decisions on those developments in accordance with state and local bylaws. Find out more about the Planning Board here: https://andoverma.gov/182/Planning-Board
Zoning Bylaw Study Committee – Appointed by the Board of Selectmen – Four Vacancies
The Zoning Bylaw Study Committee will be tasked with reviewing proposed changes to Andover’s Zoning Bylaw, work with the Planning Department to help establish a direction and prioritization during a review of existing bylaws to ensure they are meeting best practices, ensure resident input and work to develop a “Zoning Score Card.”
Revenue and Expenditure Task Force – Appointed by the Town Manager – Five Vacancies
The Revenue & Expenditure Task Force has been established to review the Town’s long range financial plan and the Town Manager’s recommendations for addressing a projected future structural deficit. The Task Force will review the Town Manager’s recommendations for reducing the long range structural deficit; review the Town Manager’s five year financial forecasts and generate and vet revenue and expenditure ideas that could mitigate the future structural deficit.
