Andover – The Town of Andover is encouraging all residents and businesses to sign up for its mass notification system known as CodeRED. Anyone can sign up for the notification system through the town’s website at www.andoverma.us/CodeRed
The CodeRED Emergency Notification System is a fast communication service allowing the Town of Andover to notify citizens of an emergency situation. It enables the Town to provide mass notification quickly and easily. This service is free to all Andover residents and businesses located within our Town limits.
Users can sign up for which alerts they would like to receive and the notifications can be sent to a cell phone, landline, or email address.
During the Gas Disaster of September 2018, CodeRED allowed instant notification to over 14,000 Andover contacts and over 16,000 phone numbers providing crucial updates in real time. For additional information on how the CodeRED system works and when it is used by the Town of Andover, please see the attached presentation.
For non-emergency notifications or messages, the Town encourages residents and businesses to sign up to receive the Andover Newsflash. For email and text message subscriptions visit www.andoverma.gov/news
