[ARCHIVED] Town of Andover Responding to Wind and Heavy Rains

The Town of Andover is currently experiencing power outages throughout Andover as a result of last night’s storm and the continuing wind conditions. The Town is working closely with National Grid to get an accurate timeline for power restoration.

Department of Public Works crews were called in to respond to the storm overnight and continue to clear fallen tree debris and broken limbs. There are no reports of local flooding, and Public Works crews are clearing catch basins. Brush clearing will continue throughout the afternoon as well as tomorrow.

If you observe hanging or broken limbs, please call contact the Forestry Division at 978-623-8780. For downed trees with wire entanglement, please call the Andover Police Department at 978-475-0411 and press 0 for Dispatch.

Bundled branches will be picked up on your regular trash day. Branches must be bundled and be no longer four feet in length, no wider than six inches in diameter and weigh nor more than 50lbs per bundle.
