The Lower Shawsheen sidewalk replacement project is set to begin Monday, May 4th, 2020. This project includes replacing sidewalks and curb ramps on Balmoral St, York St, Carisbrooke St, Argyle St, Arundel St, and Burnham Rd. In some areas, the existing sidewalk is less than five feet wide and the grass plot is exceptionally narrow. In these areas, the new sidewalk may be extended to the granite curb per town policy.
Daily construction will begin at 7:00 am. Please be advised that there will be sidewalk closures as well as clearly marked “No Parking” areas at times during construction. Please take notice of detour signs and police details.
