The Andover School Committee is seeking a Superintendent of Schools to start in the position beginning July 1, 2021. Our goal is for the profile of a successful candidate to be determined with input from a wide range of Andover stakeholders, including leaders in the Andover community.
We welcome and encourage your help with this effort, and a focus group meeting – held over the Zoom remote meeting platform – has been set up to solicit your feedback. Please register to attend:
General Community Focus Groups
After registering at this meeting link, you will be emailed the Zoom link for the meeting itself.
Additional focus group opportunities exist for our faculty, staff, students, general community members and others. You can find the full list and additional information regarding the search on the APS website here.
To facilitate this input and to identify a highly qualified and diverse candidate pool, the School Committee has contracted with the executive search firm Ray and Associates. A consultant from this search firm will lead the focus group and summarize feedback for the Committee. This input will be the basis for the Superintendent job description and hiring criteria.
Additionally, we encourage you to participate in a survey developed by Ray and Associates that will help identify the characteristics of a superintendent most important to the Andover community.
Please view and respond to the survey by clicking here. Your responses are completely anonymous. The survey will close at 8AM on January 24, 2021.
