Update: On Monday, August 9, 2021, the Town’s contractor will continue water main work in the Shawsheen Road area.  This will include a shutdown on Beech Circle (see map) from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  Additionally, the contractor will be connecting 18/20 Red Spring Road to the temporary by-pass. This construction may cause some adjustments in driving patterns; there will be a road closure on Red Spring from Essex Street to Cuba Street.  Emergency vehicles and oversized vehicles will not be prevented from responding to calls.

Update: On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the Town’s contractor will continue water main work in the Shawsheen Road area. This will include a shutdown on Shawsheen Road (see map) that will impact a section of Shawsheen Road, all of Smithshire Estates, Lincoln Circle, Lincoln Circle West, Lincoln Circle East, and Lillian Terrace.
This construction will cause some adjustments in driving patterns; there will be a road closure on Shawsheen Road, this will be in place for the next few weeks during the hours of 7:00 AM-5:00 PM for continued water main work throughout Shawsheen Road.

The construction may require some adjustments in neighborhood driving patterns; however, every effort will be made to minimize this inconvenience. There may be detours and delays. Local traffic and school buses will be allowed to access residences. Emergency vehicles will not be prevented from responding to calls.
There will be planned water main shutdowns, for which notices will be distributed to affected residents and businesses beforehand. We would like to thank you for your cooperation during these projects. For questions or concerns, please contact the Engineering Division at 978-623-8770 or dpw-engineering@andoverma.gov.
