[ARCHIVED] Annual Town Election to be Held Tuesday, March 22, 2022

Andover’s Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Polling hours are from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  

Voters will cast their ballots to elect a Moderator for one year, two Select Board members for three-years, two School Committee members for three-years, one trustee of the Punchard Free School for three years and one trustee of the Punchard Free School for one year.

Precincts 1 and 3, will vote at the Cormier Youth Center, 40 Whittier Court. 

Precincts 4 (including sub-precinct 4A), 5 and 6 will vote at the Wood Hill Middle School, 11 Cross Street. 

Precincts 2, 7, 8, 9 and 10, will vote at the Andover High School Field House, 80 Shawsheen Road.

Residents can search their precinct by visiting: www.sec.state.ma.us/wheredoivotema/

Please note - your polling location may have changed since the last election due to federal and state re-districting. 

The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  Voters can check their voter registration status on the Secretary of State’s web site at www.sec.state.ma.us or by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at (978) 623-8230.  The Town Clerk's Office will stay open until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd to accept voter registrations.    

Absentee Voting 

Registered voters can use an absentee ballot only under the following conditions:

  • you are going to be out of town during polling hours on Election Day
  • you have a physical disability and can't get to the voting location, or
  • you can't vote at the polls because of religious beliefs.

Registered voters can request an absentee ballot to be mailed to their address by calling or emailing the Town Clerk's office at 978-623-8230 or townclerk@andoverma.us.  Per state law, requests for an absentee ballot to be mailed must be made by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16th, and one has until Noon on Monday, March 21st to vote absentee in person at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Offices, 36 Bartlet Street.
