The Town of Andover is seeking residents who are interested in serving on the Andover High School Building Committee (AHSBC). The AHSBC will be charged with soliciting public input on the scope of a potential Andover High School building project and making recommendations to both the Andover School Committee and Andover Select Board. The AHSBC will be responsible for all aspects of managing a potential building project, including providing oversight through the design and construction phases and continuing community engagement throughout the duration of the project.
Candidates will be expected to participate in regularly scheduled meetings and community engagement activities. The meetings may be early morning or in the evening. Depending on the scope of a potential project, the AHSBC’s work may extend over several years.
Residents with construction management, engineering, financial and/or architectural experience are encouraged to apply as well as residents who have children in the Andover school system.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest explaining why they want to serve on the AHSBC and outline any relevant experience that may benefit the work of the AHSBC. Letters of interest should be submitted to manager@andoverma.us by April 8th at 4:30 PM.
