Daily construction will begin at 7:00 am and could go as late as 7:00 pm, depending on the type of work being done. Please be advised that there will be full and partial road closures to facilitate this work. Please take notice of detour signs and police details. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through during construction.

If you have any questions concerning this project, please contact the Highway Division at 978-623-8800 or email dpw-highway@andoverma.gov.

Shawsheen Road Detour Starting June 20th:
Beginning Monday, June 20th, the eastbound lane of Shawsheen Road will be closed for sidewalk construction. Traffic will be detoured through the school grounds (see map). This detour will be in place periodically until approximately September 1st. Please follow posted signage. Emergency vehicles will not be prevented from responding to calls.

For student drop-off at West Middle School during road closures on Shawsheen Road, please follow the detour (see map) and review the instructions below.

Directions for student drop-off and pick-up for summer programs at WMS:
Parents will have to use the AHS driveway, to Moraine St and a left back up to Shawsheen road. Take a left onto Shawsheen road and then a left into the WMS entrance. Leaving the ½ circle in front of WMS, all cars MUST take a left onto Shawsheen road.

The West Middle School parking lot is closed to traffic from the high school driveway. The contractor is using half of the lot for equipment and materials. DO NOT drop off children in this area.
