[ARCHIVED] Water Main Break on Dascomb Rd

Water Break

The Department of Public Works Water Division is currently responding to a large-scale water main break on Dascomb Road near route 93.
Crews are on the scene actively working on the situation; more details may be posted here as the assessment of the break continues.

Residents and businesses on Smith Way, Surrey Lane, and Dascomb Road (from Smith Way to Carriage Hill Road) will experience disruption in their water service as the water main must be shut down for repairs. Please expect this shut down to continue through the evening. Please note that when repairs are completed, residents and businesses may experience discolored water.  We will be running hydrants to assist in the flushing of the water mains to dispel any discolored water as quickly as possible.

4/13/2022: Repairs to the water main on Dascomb Road have been completed and the road is still currently closed for roadway paving. Residents in the surrounding area may experience residual discoloration. Residents can run an outside faucet to clear their water service and if discoloration persists, it can be reported to the Water Division's discolored water line noted below.

You can report discolored water to the Water Division at 978-623-8707 or via Email
