[ARCHIVED] Notice of Weekend Downtown Street Closures for Andover Days and Hike for Hope

The Town of Andover has a number of events happening this weekend which will affect traffic in the downtown area:

Friday, September 23rd – Andover Days Movie in The Park – Field of Dreams.  Increased traffic can be anticipated on the streets around the Municipal Complex at 36 Bartlet Street in the late afternoon into the evening.

  • 6:30 PM – Movie Begins
  • 8:30 PM – Fireworks in the Playstead

Saturday, September 24th – Andover Day.  A number of downtown streets will be closed from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and increased traffic in the downtown area can be expected.  See map below of closed streets and detours.  Andover Day will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 25th – Hike for Hope.  The Hike for Hope will begin at The Park on Bartlet Street at 1:00 p.m.  Bartlet Street from Punchard Avenue to Chestnut Street and Chestnut Street from Bartlet Street to Upland Road will be closed from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  The walk will be taking place throughout the downtown, motorists are advised of anticipated traffic in the downtown area and to be extra cautious of pedestrians.  Please see the route map below.
