The Town of Andover's Department of Public Works is continuing to provide assistance to residents in clearing and disposing of downed branches and tree debris left by the September 8 storm. Several changes to resources available to residents will take place in the coming weeks as recovery from the storm nears completion.
In September, the Town open two sites for residents to drop-off tree debris related to the storm. The Pomps Pond site will be closed beginning on October 20.
The Bald Hill Compost Site, located at 288 High Plain Road will remain open during regular hours of operation:
Wednesdays and Fridays: Open 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: Open 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Permits will be required to drop-off debris at this site. Click here for information about obtaining a permit.
Additional curbside collection by Republic Services will end on November 11. Collection of bundled branches and twigs during regular weekly trash collection will continue. Branches bundled for collection may be up to 6" in diameter and up to 4" in length. Bundles must weigh under 50 lbs.
