A different kind of fundraising event, a favorite feature of Be Giving is a pop-up exhibit of stories and objects from Andover’s past. Be Giving features fun, unusual, different, and surprising stories told by volunteer storytellers.
Be Giving includes silent auction baskets and goodies. New to the Be Giving auction this year will be original works of art by four local artists, whose pieces were inspired by items in the History Center collection. Artwork will be accompanied by a pop-up exhibit of the artists’ inspirational items.
A not to be missed live auction item is a private home in the south of France for a week, summer 2020, in Valros, France (near Montpelier), La Région Occitanie.
Andover Center for History & Culture inspires and deepens community engagement by connecting people to each other and their community through Andover’s stories – preserving the past, educating for the future, connecting to our community. For more information, visit AndoverHistoryandCulture.o

A dark comedy by Jen Silverman. Directed by Kathleen Sills. Two sisters and a dog live out their lives on the bleak English moors, dreaming of love and power. The arrival of a hapless governess and a moor-hen set all three on a strange and dangerous path. The Moors is a play about love, desperation and visibility. “Acerbic, funny [...] brilliant stuff. The Moors is first-rate entertainment.” – New Haven Review. “Truly clever and intelligent. You really ought to see this.” – New York Times. A Department of Visual and Performing Arts Production.
