The Community Events Calendar is to publicize any event located in Andover sponsored by the Town, by a non-profit, or by a for-profit organization running a charitable fundraiser, where the general public is invited to attend. The Elder Services Calendar shows the dates and times of programs and events at the Senior Center at Punchard additional information about these programs may be found here.     Get “up close and personal” with people from Andover’s history. In Close Encounters, you’ll hear about people who lived, worked, ran businesses and raised families in our community. We’ll share their stories through photos, letters, diaries, objects and clothing from our collection. You’ll get to hold their personal history in your hands! Hear about Bessie Goldsmith and William Harnden Foster – both made their mark and left a legacy. Close Encounters is a small group setting limited to 10 guests. But, when she’s drawn away by a mysterious melody that sparks memories of their past, the Old Man must decide between duty, or adventure. What follows is an imaginative, sea-faring, musical epic, as the old man faces a host of challenges, including the biggest one of all: Change. Performed by professional actors, this production is a delight for audiences of all ages.
