  1. Pastel Landscape (For Adults Ages 16 and Up)

    Fri | May 15-Jun 5 | 10:00 AM-12:00 PM 4 Weeks Ages: Adults (16+) | $100 | Luba Shapiro Grenader Expand your visual vocabulary with the genre of a landscape. The class will cover: creating deep space through the principles of atmospheric perspective, approaching sky and water, foliage and mountains, rocks and other elements in nature. The structure of the online class will include slide and sample artwork presentations on the topics mentioned, demonstrations, individual discussions via zoom breakout rooms (splitting from the main online class meeting), and group critiques through on-screen work-sharing and live discussions. Materials: soft pastels, blending stumps, pastel paper (white pad or toned pad or any other preferred paper pad or single sheets in any size), basic drawing supplies: graphite pencils and/or pastel/conté pencils for initial sketching, eraser, sketchbook or any other sketching paper for preliminary work.

  1. Virtual Public Forum on Community Choice Aggregation (CCA)

    The Town Manager has proposed a warrant article to be considered by voters at Annual Town Meeting, scheduled for June 22nd, to initiate Community Choice Aggregation (or CCA). CCA is a program that allows municipalities to negotiate favorable prices and terms with competing electricity suppliers on behalf of residents. At the Public Forum, presenters will explain how the program works, discuss the anticipated benefits, and answer your questions using a virtual platform (Webex).
