  1. Andover Seed Library: Virtual Garden Season Roundup

    Join us for a virtual discussion with area gardeners. We'll share our gardening season stories, ask questions and get advice. Bring your questions and resources to share. Having problems in the garden? Send your questions to andoverseedlibrary@mhl.org. Our panel of local gardeners will do their best to guide you. Register online. The Andover Seed Library at Memorial Hall Library provides free seeds and programs and resources to nurture a community of organic gardeners.

  2. Virtual Program: How to Support Those at Risk for Suicide

    September 10, 2020, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    This program is offered via Zoom Webinar. Registration is required online. September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. Kendra McDonald of Samaritans, Inc. presents an hour long program designed to give participants information about suicide, including information about identifying risk factors and warning signs, as well as skills their own helpline volunteers use to support those going through any number of mental health challenges. She will review some of the best ways to listen, to support, ask to get a clearer understanding, and get help to further support those who need it, as well as review resources, including self-care for those who support others. Kendra McDonald, MS is the Manager of the Community Education and Outreach team at Samaritans, Inc. Prior to this role, Kendra has served in a number of hands-on roles in the mental health field including psychiatric inpatient care, therapy, and case management.
