  2. Andover Downtown Summer Music Series

    The Town of Andover’s 375th Anniversary Committee announces a downtown Summer Music Series every Thursday from 6 – 8 PM starting Thursday, June 24th through August 26th. The Summer Music Series will kick off on Thursday, June 24th from 6 – 8 PM with Steel Accent Steel Band in front of Old Town Hall, 20 Main Street, Andover. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the islands in beautiful, downtown Andover. Enjoy shopping and dining while listening to the steel drum sounds during your visit. The Summer Music Series will continue through August 26th with local favorites and some new faces in the music scene.

  3. Virtual Author Talk: Maureen Corrigan Discusses The Great Gatsby

    July 15, 2021, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    Maureen Corrigan, book critic for NPR's radio program "Fresh Air" and author of the book So We Read On: How The Great Gatsby Came to Be and Why It Endures, will discuss why The Great Gatsby has come to be viewed as the "Great American Novel." Maureen Corrigan is The Nicky and Jamie Grant Distinguished Professor of the Practice in Literary Criticism at Georgetown University. For the past 31 years, Corrigan has been the weekly book critic on the Peabody Award-winning NPR program, ''Fresh Air.'' She is also a Mystery Columnist for The Washington Post and publishes regularly on NPR online and The Wall Street Journal. This program is hosted by Wilmington Memorial Hall Library in collaboration with Chelmsford Library, Memorial Hall Library and Tewksbury Library. "This event is made possible through CARES Act funding to Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners."
