American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
The Town of Andover received $10,867,057 in federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Select Board voted to approve an initial framework for the use of these funds in winter of 2022.
On July 11, 2023 the Select Board approved a revised framework that increased allocations for two significant community priorities: the construction of an accessible rail trail at Haggetts Pond and improvements aimed at promoting pedestrian safety. The updated ARPA framework is reflected in the table below.
An updated plan to repurposed limited remaining available ARPA funds was presented to the Select Board on December 16, 2024. Under this plan, a total of $217,287.52 was reallocated to offset the purchase of trash and recycling carts for Town residents. The reallocated funds are comprised of projects listed in the tables below showing balance.
