On Monday, May 26, the Town of Andover proudly hosted its annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies, honoring the brave men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This tradition brought residents together in a powerful display of remembrance, community, and gratitude.

The morning began with a series of observances at West Parish Cemetery, St. Augustine's Cemetery, and Spring Grove Cemetery. The Memorial Day Parade began at 10:00 AM, making its way through downtown Andover and featuring an impressive lineup of participants. The Andover High School Marching Band filled the streets with patriotic music, while historical reenactment troops in period uniform offered a powerful reminder of the generations who have served our nation. Veterans, scout troops, civic organizations, and town officials marched in the parade, drawing a large and supportive crowd along the route.

The ceremony that followed in The Park was a solemn and meaningful tribute, with reflections, readings, and patriotic music. The event concluded with the reading of names of Andover Veterans who passed away in the last year, the playing of "Taps," and "Amazing Grace."

The Town extends its sincere thanks to Director of Veterans Services Mark Comeiro and the Patriotic Holiday Committee for their dedication and effort in planning and coordinating such a meaningful and well-attended event.
