2026 Andover Arbor Day Celebration
Friday, April 24, 2026
The Town of Andover will host its annual Arbor Day Celebration on Friday, April 24 at 10:00 AM at the Lower Shawsheen Soccer Field, 14 York Street. The event will feature a ceremonial observance and proclamation, a brief overview of the history of Arbor Day, and a live tree planting demonstration led by Superintendent of Forestry, Parks & Grounds, and Cemetery Paul Sanborn. The event will also include the planting of a red oak and red maple at the field. Attendees will receive American plum seedlings as part of a community giveaway.
Arbor Day is a longstanding tradition that highlights the importance of trees in strengthening communities, improving air and water quality, and enhancing public spaces. Andover’s celebration reflects the Town’s ongoing commitment to stewardship of its natural resources and continued investment in its tree canopy. Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in this annual event recognizing the value of trees in the community.
