The Town of Andover has launched a new partnership with Care Solace, a care coordination service that connects residents to mental health care providers, substance use treatment, and other critical social support services. This no-cost resource is available to all Andover residents, and aims to make it easier for individuals and families to find help when they need it most.
Residents can access Care Solace’s services by visiting caresolace.com/ma-andover or by calling 888-515-7881, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
This initiative is being funded through opioid settlement proceeds received from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s settlement with opioid manufacturers. Andover is expected to receive approximately $1.7 million through Fiscal Year 2038 from these combined settlements. The Town has prioritized investing a portion of these funds into improving mental health services and community well-being.
The launch of this program directly supports key goals identified in the Town’s Community Health Improvement Program (CHIP), completed in 2023. The CHIP assessed the social determinants of health in Andover and identified mental health across the lifespan as the community’s top priority.
Through Care Solace, residents are connected with Care Companions, trained professionals who help identify local service providers that meet an individual’s needs, schedule appointments, and assist with follow-up. Services are available in over 200 languages, ensuring accessibility and support for all members of the community.
The Care Solace platform includes a network of over 660,000 licensed mental health and substance use treatment providers, and also helps individuals connect with resources for food security, housing, and affordable medical and dental care.
“This new service is a significant step toward breaking down barriers to mental health care and support services,” said Town Manager Andrew Flanagan. “By offering residents a single, easy-to-use point of contact, we’re making it easier for people to get the help they need, when they need it.”
