The Town of Andover is continuing to actively responding to a major winter storm that impacted the region on Sunday, February 22 and Monday, February 23
Downtown Snow Clearing
Andover Public Works will be conducting an overnight snow removal operation in Downtown Andover beginning on Thursday, February 26 at 11:00 PM. Crews will be removing and hauling snow offsite to widen roads, sidewalks, and parking areas to ensure that surfaces throughout Downtown are safe for residents and visitors.
Please avoid the Downtown area while this operation is in progress to provide space for snow removal vehicles and equipment to operate. Vehicles should not be left in Downtown municipal parking lots tonight, as crews will need full access to plow and clear these areas.
Snow Emergency Parking Ban
A snow emergency parking ban will be in place beginning at 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 22 and will remain in effect until further notice to enable DPW crews to clear and treat roadways. No parking is permitted on Town roads while the ban is in place. Vehicles parked in violation of the parking ban may be ticketed or towed.
As of Thursday, February 26, the snow emergency parking ban remains in effect.
Trash and Recycling
Trash and recycling collection was canceled on Monday, and collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
