250th Anniversary Committee

The 250th Anniversary Committee was established by the Town of Andover to ensure that the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is recognized in a meaningful and memorable way in our community throughout 2026. The Committee is charged with planning and promoting public events, highlighting Andover's own contributions to the American Revolution, and creating opportunities for residents to celebrate, learn, and reflect on the people and stories that shaped the community at the time of our nation's founding.

The Committee will work in partnership with the Andover Center for History and Culture, local schools, and other civic organizations to plan a commemoration worthy of the occasion. Events and initiatives organized by the Committee will complement regional and national events commemorating the 250th.

The Committee generally meets on certain Thursdays at 2:00 PM in the Select Board Room. Posted agendas can be found at the Agenda Center.
